 WHAT IS SOP?

  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are written papers or work instructions that outline all of the phases in a procedure or process. End-to-end process mapping and formatting SOPs to your template and organisational structures are included in the SOP development services.

 Benefits of SOP?

  • Here are some benefits of SOP :
    • Future Growth Preparedness :
      • Ready-made SOPs make your established work practices transferable if your long-term ambitions include growing your firm to branch locations. By employing SOPs to reproduce the products and services given at your original site, new employees at other locations can uphold your reputation.

    • Reduce employee training time:
      • SOPs for training serve to standardise orientation and training. A documented set of rules ensures that all new recruits receive the same training, in the same length of time, on the same topics and duties. This will not only assist new employees in settling in quickly, but it will also save time and money in the long run.

    • Control the Product's Quality and Consistency:
      • You want to maintain a high degree of quality when your company produces a product you're pleased of. Standardized processes direct employees and limit the risk of missing stages or other mistakes that compromise the finished product's quality. SOPs that are meticulously followed ensure that your product or service is generated in the same manner from beginning to end. Providing a blueprint for the manufacturing process ensures uniformity and preserves your product's integrity.

    • Protect Yourself from Knowledge Loss:
      • The loss of a key employee who knows the details of your company processes but does not have them written down in a procedure’s manual might be terrible. Job process documentation survives staff attrition due to retirement and resignation, allowing your business to continue as usual. Experienced, competent people are difficult to replace, but thorough, well-written SOPs ensure that your valued business procedures continue with you.

    • Establish a chain of command:
      • Everyone in your company should have a clear understanding of your company's leadership structure, which is especially crucial in instances where work items are reviewed and approved several times.

 SOP life cycle.

  • An SOP definition can assume different status during its life cycle.

  • Draft:
    • When the SOP is first created, a draft version is saved initially. From an approved version of an SOP, it is also possible to create another draft version, when it is necessary to change the SOP definition using the approved version as a base. A draft can be edited, submitted for approval, or discarded.

  • Pending approval:
    • This is a draft SOP definition submitted for approval, ready to be approved or disapproved. The name of the version is defined in this status and it will name the SOP definition version if approved. If this version is not approved, the SOP definition goes back to the draft version status.

  • Approved:
    • When an SOP definition is approved it is ready to be launched.
